All matches will be matchplay format with 90% handicap difference between competitors,  1 point to the winning side and ½ point for a halved match.

Monday 1st October, Match 1 Pairs Fourball Better Ball

Montgomerie Course,  probably the trickiest of the 3 courses at Celtic Manor with some spectacular views,  particularly from the 3rd fairway looking over the River Usk. Golf buggies are supplied for this round which is very handy for even the fittest of us as there are some steep climbs and lengthy distances between many of the greens and tees.

Tuesday 2nd October, Match 2 Pairs Fourball Better Ball

Roman Road Course,  a slightly gentler test than the Montgomerie but nevertheless a good challenge for all.  With the 18th Green finishing up right outside the main clubhouse,  let’s hope some of the games go to the wire for the watching gallery ! If you opt to take a buggy,  please be advised that cart paths are to be used at all times.

Wednesday 3rd October, Match 3 Singles ( 2 games per tee time )

Twenty Ten Course,  a delight to play on the course that held the 2010 Ryder Cup. Long but fairly open,  our suggestion would be to walk the course rather than use a buggy.  Again hopefully some of the games will stretch to the last hole,  a par 5 with a rather welcoming lake in front of the green just below the 2010 Clubhouse.

There are 24 points available over the 3 days of competition,  first team to 12 ½ points are the winners.
